YJ Choi, PT, DPT

YJ Choi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science in 2019 from Franklin Pierce University and went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Long Island University Brooklyn in 2023. As a former high school and collegiate football player, YJ’s personal experience with the rigors of competitive sports ignited a passion for helping others navigate their own paths to recovery. Driven by a commitment to clinical excellence, YJ began taking continuing education courses through the Institute of Physical Art during his first year of PT school. He is currently working toward sitting for the Certification of Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT), reflecting his dedication to high-level manual techniques and movement science. YJ has developed a deep interest in treating sports-related injuries and managing chronic pain through a holistic lens. He believes in addressing the complex, underlying impairments that prevent individuals from reaching their peak physical potential and improving their overall quality of life. When he is off the clock, YJ is an avid outdoorsman and athlete, often found rock climbing or training for his next marathon or ultramarathon. Whether he is on the trails, at the crag, or exploring new techniques in the kitchen, he values staying active and spending quality time with friends and family.
