Greg Babiec, MSPT, SCS, MTC, CMP, CSCS
Greg Babiec received his master’s degree in physical therapy from Springfield College in 1996. He began his career working for the team physicians at the University of Rhode Island working with Division 1 athletes in all sports. After moving to New York City and practicing for 15 years, he cofounded Evolve Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation. He is certified in two advanced manual therapy concepts and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Greg specializes in all sports and orthopedic injuries, with a focus on a hands-on approach and exercise prescription to get people moving and feeling better. He recently became a Board Certified Sports Specialist, which is one of the highest honors in the physical therapy profession.
Jason Roth, PT, SCS, MCMT, TPI CERTIFIED
Jason Roth is a New York State licensed physical therapist and is a Board Certified Sports Specialist. Jason is a certified Level 2 medical golf specialist through The Titleist Performance Institute and holds a mastery certification in manual therapy. He is a Graston Technique provider and is co-owner and director of Evolve Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation. Roth earned a bachelor’s degree in health sciences in 2000 and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Touro College in 2002. He is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. He sits on the board of the Syosset Baseball Association, acting as sports medicine advisor, and is a Master Clinician for New York University’s doctorate in physical therapy program. He also participates in the United States Olympic Committee sports medicine volunteer program, providing support at USOC training centers.
Jillian Chiappisi, PT, DPT, SCS
Jillian Chiappisi graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in exercise physiology in 2009 and went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from East Carolina University. Jillian frequently attends courses and conferences and is trained in several manual and therapeutic exercise treatment techniques. She has participated in advanced training for pelvic floor therapy, which she uses in her unique and well-rounded perspective on treating the body as a whole. The variability in her training allows her to administer an individualized approach to each of her treatments. With more than 15 years of experience as a competitive gymnast and coach, Jillian has a specialized interest in working with athletes of all ages. She focuses on rehabilitation of injured athletes as well as injury prevention training and safety with skill progression in healthy athletes. She recently became a Board Certified Sports Specialist, which is one of the highest honors in the physical therapy profession.
Katie Cyrana, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Katie Cyrana earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University. Katie is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a licensed Power Pilates mat instructor, and she specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation. Before pursuing her post-graduate education, she obtained a B.S. in human physiology at Boston University. In addition to being a licensed physical therapist, Katie is active in running clubs throughout New York City and enjoys competing in marathons and triathlons. As an avid runner herself, she specializes in treatment of running injuries, including biomechanical video running analysis and comprehensive movement assessment. Katie recently became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, which is one of the highest honors in the physical therapy profession.
Olayi Oyekanmi, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Olayi earned his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University followed by his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University. Olayi is both an APTA board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and New York Physical Therapy Association. Olayi has special interests in orthopedic and sports related injuries. Olayi has experience treating issues including, but not limited to post surgical injuries, TMJ, headaches, neck pain, low back pain, etc. He has also been attending continuing education courses with plans to attain a manual therapy certification.
Jim Crawley, MS, PT, ATC
Jim Crawley is a New York state licensed Physical Therapist and a Certified Athletic Trainer. Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/ Athletic Training from Towson State University in 1985, his masters degree in Education / Athletic Training from the University of Virginia in 1986, and his master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Dominican College in 2004. Throughout his career, Jim has focused primarily in the care and rehabilitation of athletic and orthopedic injuries and been on the Athletic Training staffs at such institutions as Monmouth University and the United States Military Academy. Jim has also worked as a physical therapist in outpatient orthopedics for the last 14 years. He is an active participant in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training as a coach and pace leader and has completed 4 marathons and 15 half-marathons.
John Wilbert, MSPT
John holds a Masters in Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College and has trained in every field from neurology to pediatric rehabilitation to sports medicine to post-op orthopedic rehabilitation. For 15 years, he has specialized in rotator cuff/shoulder, cervical/lumbar, and knee pathologies. John aims to help patients avoid surgery when possible and has a special focus on postural education and ergonomics.
John grew up in the Adirondack’s running a farm and working in construction, thus began his training in functional lifting and back preservation techniques. His other interests include: weight lifting, kickboxing, dancing, volleyball, soccer, skiing and music. Since moving to NYC he has volunteered for the NYC AidsWalk and The Trevor Project.
Lindsay Butterfield, PT, DPT, CSCS
Lindsay Butterfield graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science in 2015 from Western Michigan University and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from New York University in 2018. Lindsay played college level lacrosse at Western Michigan University and has also participated in volleyball and softball on a competitive level. Lindsay has special interests in orthopaedic and sports related injuries. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Lindsay is well versed in designing and implementing effective strength and conditioning programs for athletes involved in all different sports. When she isn’t working, Lindsay enjoys weightlifting, running and being outdoors.
Amber Bloom PT, MSPT
Amber received her Master’s degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College and has been practicing for over 15 years. She has extensive experience in orthopedics and sports injuries, as well as acute surgeries, chronic pain, and neurological injuries. She likes to combine manual therapy with a specialized exercise program for each individual patient to achieve their own unique goals. Amber is also a professional dancer, actor and roller skater.
Joseph Griffith, Personal Trainer (CPT)
Joseph Griffith is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer who works closely with the physical therapists at Evolve to design strength and conditioning programs for our clients. His enhanced personal training focuses on fixing imbalances and using functional exercises to help people move, look and feel better. As a member of the Evolve team, he addresses patients suffering from pain as well as clients whose focus is on attaining fitness goals. He supports Evolve’s sport-specific training programs and provides personal training and nutritional counseling to help clients improve their health. Joseph believes that mastering the basics allows you to learn and execute advanced exercises safely and effectively.
